MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The SSAC anounced the 2026 SSAC Baseball Player of the week. Isaac Padilla of Thomas was named SSAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week. 

Padilla threw a his first complete game of the season against the No. 15 William Carey Crusaders. The freshman pitcher gave up only five hits and two earned runs while striking out six against a top team for the programs first ever victory over the Crusaders. He posted a .67 whip only allowing seven baserunners in the game and had a .172 BAA. He is currently first in the SSAC in ERA tied for first in wins and is fifth in strikeouts. The freshman contributed an rbi in his first at bat of his collegiate career in the midweek against Paine College.
