Thomas Falls in Double-OT Thriller at Life

MARIETTA, Ga. - In one of the wildest finishes of the season, Thomas and Life (Ga.) traded big plays, defensive takeaways, and overtime touchdowns before the Running Eagles ultimately escaped with a 34–27 win in double overtime. The Night Hawks produced 389 yards of offense, forced five interceptions, and got clutch performances from multiple standouts—but couldn't close out the marathon finish.

After trailing 6–0 at halftime, Thomas found life in the third quarter. Quarterback Kam King ignited the offense with a 66-yard touchdown strike to Dyva Jones, tying the game 6–6. Minutes later, the defense swung momentum when Dyva Jones jumped a route and returned an interception 10 yards to the house, tying the game again at 13–13.

Thomas carried that fire into the fourth when Arie'Yona Christion punched in a goal-line touchdown to give the Night Hawks a 20–13 lead with 8:54 remaining. But Life responded with a methodical nine‑play drive to even the score at 20–20 and force overtime.

Thomas struck first in overtime behind Christion, who delivered a 3-yard touchdown pass to Ameari Logan, followed by her own successful conversion to put the Night Hawks ahead 27–20.

But Life answered immediately when Cheyenne Brooks tied the game with a 7-yard TD run, and her conversion sent the game to a sixth period, knotted at 27–27.
