THOMASVILLE, Ga. - The Thomas University Night Hawks women's soccer team vaulted in front of the Brewton-Parker Christian University Lady Barons at the TU Soccer Complex on Monday afternoon to the tune of a 6-1 SSAC victory for Sergio Rapuano's program, featuring a Jordyn Keene hat trick.

Thomas got on the scoreboard in the 10th minute after Emily Boles' corner kick was played into the area. No one could control it initially before Isabelle Gabrielsson connected with the back of the net for her second goal of the season to put the Night Hawks in front.

Chantelle Thomson (6-4-2) made a pair of saves before Angelina Munoz dribbled through defenders and found Keene in the 24th minute for the senior's fourth time this season to double the lead. Not four minutes later, Gabrielsson threaded the needle and paired up with Keene to make it a 3-0 TU lead.

Six Thomas shots were turned away for the remainder of the first half, while Thomson logged a third save before the halftime intermission.

The Lady Barons broke the clean sheet in the 66th minute, but it only took a little over a minute for Thomas to quickly bring the lead back to three goals when Pearl Mortimer located Keene who sunk it through to complete the hat trick.

"Obviously glad to accomplish it," said Keene. "But it put us in the right direction in the second half after letting them score."

Boles would line up late in the 85th minute for a corner kick, playing it deep for Alicia Macleod, who headed in her first score of the season to push the match to 5-1. Mortimer put the cherry on top, completing the six-pack with a strike in the 90th minute after a deep pass downfield from Jule Rohleder.

"I know we're capable of playing at a higher pace," said Rapuano. "We needed to make a couple of adjustments...still looking for perfection, but not disappointed."

Thomas put a dozen shots on goal, holding the Lady Barons to just three.

The Night Hawks (6-4-2, 4-3-1 SSAC) return home on Thursday, Oct. 15 against the ABAC Fillies at 4:00 p.m, seeking their third-straight win over the visitors.
