MOUNT VERNON, Ga. — The Thomas Night Hawks put together a strong offensive performance on Saturday afternoon, defeating Brewton-Parker College in an SSAC East matchup.
The Night Hawks shot 51.5 percent from the field and connected on 12 three-pointers to overpower the Barons. Thomas built a 42-40 lead at halftime and pulled away in the second half, stretching the advantage to as many as 16 points.
Tyson Anderson led the way with 20 points on 7-of-14 shooting, including two three-pointers.
Jailin Lee provided a spark with 17 points, hitting five three-pointers.
Noah Lattin added 15 points and eight rebounds, while
Andre Lightbourne chipped in 11 points with three triples.
The Night Hawks capitalized on their depth, outscoring Brewton-Parker's bench 43-3. They also forced 16 turnovers and recorded nine steals to control the tempo.
Brewton-Parker was led by Grant Sanders, who poured in a game-high 34 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Ferlin Joseph Jr. dominated the glass with 16 boards but struggled from the field, going 4-of-11. The Barons managed just 36.1 percent shooting overall and 23.5 percent from deep.
Thomas will look to carry its momentum into their final road game of this five-game trip as they take on Stillman College on Tuesday, February 11th.
