TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The Thomas Night Hawks edged Stillman College Tigers in an overtime battle, securing an 82-77 road victory on Tuesday night
Andre Lightbourne led Thomas with 23 points, knocking down seven three-pointers on 13 attempts. Jailin Lee added 16 points, while Chris Dorbor chipped in 11 points and seven rebounds. The Night Hawks shot 42.9 percent from beyond the arc and converted 93.3 percent of their free throws.
Thomas built an 18-point lead early in the second half, but Stillman responded with a 45-point surge after halftime to force overtime. Michael Taylor paced the Tigers with 21 points, while Jeremiah Miller recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
In the extra period, Thomas held Stillman to just six points, sealing the victory with clutch free throws and defensive stops.
