WALESKA, Ga. (AP) — The Thomas University Night Hawks delivered a dominant performance, routing Reinhardt University Eagles 58-0 in a one-sided matchup on Wednesday afternoon
Thomas came out firing and never looked back, scoring 13 points in each of the first two quarters before breaking the game open with 26 points in the final frame. Quarterback Keelin Coleman led the offensive onslaught, throwing for three touchdowns and 205 yards on 15-of-21 passing.
Zoe Jackson and Destiny Lockett each hauled in two touchdown receptions, with Lockett finishing with six catches for 44 yards. Alexa Wilson found Jackson and Kendall D' Aprile for a pair of scores, while Holly Neher connected with Madison Boswell a touchdown pass in the fourth quarter.
The Night Hawks' defense was relentless, shutting out Reinhardt and holding them to just 141 total yards. Janae Scott had a standout performance with two interceptions, one of which she returned for a touchdown. Zariah Hercule also grabbed an interception, adding to the Night Hawks' three total takeaways.
Reinhardt struggled to find any offensive rhythm, with quarterbacks Kaylee Kent and Isabella D'Apice combining for just 125 passing yards and three interceptions. The Eagles failed to convert a single third-down attempt, further highlighting Thomas' defensive dominance.
Thomas will look to build on this impressive victory after a couple of weeks of rest as they go on the road again to play Pasco-Hernando State in a neutral site contest in Babson Park, Fla. on Thursday, March 13th at 3:45 PM
