SAVANNAH Ga. - The Night Hawks faced the SCAD Savannah Bees in a tough road contest Saturday afternoon at the SAC and fell 8-1.
The Bees got on the scoreboard in the 17th minute when Sydney Chura connected with Aleca Garcia Velaza. Abigail Siddal followed suit with an assist from Ines Sommer to put the game away in the 28th minute. Just two minutes later in the 30th minute the Bees struck again to put themselves up 3-0 at half.
In the second half Sydney Chura secured a brace in the 59th minute and a hat trick in the 70th minute to bring the score to 5-0.
Sasha Manders struck back by herself with a goal just a minute later for the lone Night Hawk score of the match. The Bees struck three more times and brought the final score to 8-1.
The Night Hawks look to bounce back in the beginning of conference play at home against No. 7 Life University on Wednesday at 2 p.m.
