Herb and Baca highlight SSAC postseason awards

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Thomas University's women's soccer team walked away with some individual rewards on Wednesday night. 

Kaitlyn Herb and Ali Baca earned 2nd team honors for the second straight season. Herb, the sophomore from Daytona Beach, Fla. had another impressive campaign as she led the team in goals with 15, three of those being game winners and seven assists for a total of 37 points season. 

Baca was very consistent this year, tying the team lead for assists with eight, she had two goals and served as the backbone of the midfield for the Night Hawks this year.

Hannah Henriksen and Jule Rohleder won all-freshman team with their contributions to the team in their first year. Henriken scored 5 goals and had an assist in her first campaign as a Night Hawk and Rohleder had a goal and four assists and was a reliable defender in the backline as well. 

McKenna Swartzman was named to the Champions of Character team as the representative for Thomas. 

Swartzman, Herb, and Baca, along with Thórsteina Árnadóttir, Aquene Tollefson, Elsebeth Andersen, Madelyn Musgrove, Pearl Mortimer, Ruby Melis, Sasha Manders, Haleigh Joslin, Jarica Lawerence and Emily Lamoreaux were named to the SSAC All-Academic Team.
