THOMASVILLE, GA | The SSAC released their track & field weekly honors earlier today, and two Night Hawks were selected as the Track Athletes of the Week, for all competitons January 21-29.  The SSAC selects one runner and one field event participant in each gender weekly to receive the award.

MEN

Justin Tomison was chosen as the male Track Athlete Of The Week.  At the Florida Collegiate Invite in Gainesville, FL, Tominson set a school record of 8:53.80 in the 3000m run.  Tominson, also, set a career best time in the indoor mile run at 4:32.65.  This is Tomison's first award n the SSAC.

WOMEN

Cassandra Richards earned the women's honor as Track Athlete Of The Week for the SSAC.  Richards set a school record and personal best time in the 5000m run at the Florida Collegiate Invite.  Richards finished with a time of 20:25.43.
