JACKSONVILLE, FLA– The Thomas University Men's Track and Field team competed at the East Coast Relays Last Chance meet hosted by the University of North Florida this past Saturday. The Green and white was able to get a taste of several top notch conferences that included the ACC, HBCU, and world class record holders. Several Night Hawks showed up to the challenge and peaked in numerous events.
Freshman Micheal Eady had one final tune up before the NAIA National Outdoor Championships in the 100 meter, notching a new school and personal record of 10.50. Freshman Kyron Belton also took his chances in the 100 meter, sparking a new personal best of 10.87. Freshman Andre Nembhard joined the PR party with a new personal best of 11.10.
Freshman Seth Humphries continues the historic freshman season in the 800-meter run, earning a new school and personal record of 1:54.38. Freshman Justin Hernandez returned the energy with a new personal record of 1:58.87. Junior Timothy Tulloch also notched a new personal record of 2:08.15.
The 4x100 relay also qualified for the NAIA Outdoor Championship with a solid time of 41.49.
Sophomore Ethan Fralish led the field squad with a top-ten finish in the Triple Jump, notching a tenth-place finish with a new school and personal record of 14.17 meters.
