COLUMBUS, Ga. – Thomas University's
Aspen Shipp finished second in the 100-yard backstroke Friday in the Sun Conference Swimming Championship Thursday at the Columbus Aquatic Center.

Shipp took second place in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 56.87, TU's highest finish so far in the championship.

Shipp joined Lucia Roca Rodado, Nissrine Boubouh and
Laura Garcia Zapater to place sixth in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:44.73. The same ladies also swam to a fifth-place finish in the 400-yard medley relay (4:12.20).

Roca finished 13th in the 100-yard breaststroke's B-Final, touching the wall at 1:11.75.

After the second day of the championship, Thomas is in sixth place in the seven-team event. The Night Hawks have recorded 142 points. Keiser University leads the championship with 707 points.
