THOMASVILLE, Ga. –
Aspen Shipp became the first swimmer in school history to earn Swimmer of the Month honors from the SUN Conference on Monday, following her spectacular performance at the Small College Championships last month.
Shipp was dominant in the 50-yard freestyle, in the prelims she finished first with a time of 24.10, then in the final, she finished in first with a time of 23.91 which is the seventh best time in the event for the NAIA this season. In the 100-yard Fly, Shipp outpaced her competitors in the prelims and final finishing first in both and she had a finals time of 57.08, three seconds faster than second place. Finally in the 200-yard Back event. Shipp placed her stamp on the meet finishing first again with a time 2:03.69.

Dagmar Kruik,
Alejandra Sopena and
Anna Van De Keere broke meet records in the 200 free relay and 400 free relay respectively. Overall, she finished the meet as the top swimmer among all women's teams.
