THOMASVILLE, GA- The Thomas University Men's and Women's Cross Country will hit postseason action this upcoming weekend at the SUN Conference XC Championships. Both teams will be in the search for the Conference banner, including a spot at the NAIA XC National Meet.
Sergeant Jasper Park has quite the background. Jasper Park was named after Sgt. William Jasper, an American Revolutionary War hero.
Thomas University is no stranger to this year's Championship location as the inaugural squad competed at the Hardeeville School Complex course back in 2019. Southeastern's Women's team ran away with the win during that year, while the Bee's of SCAD-Savannah Men's team were named champions.
Despite the Night Hawks having a completely different roster from 2019, TU has added depth for both the Men and Women teams since then. Junior Justin Tomison has been the top Night Hawk for the Green and White with his personal best being marked at 26:17.50. The Buxton, ME native was also named to the SUN's All-Conference team back in 2020.
Sophomore Cassandra Richards has been a force to reckon with for the Women's side after her recent accomplishment coming from the biggest meet in the history of Alabama. Richards boasted a time of 22:07.60.
Head Coach Scott Gowan recruited very hard this year and it did not go unnoticed. Several newcomers such as David Morrison, Justin Hernandez and Landon Watts continued to show improvement in nearly every meet this year.

The Men will start their watches for the 8k at 8:30am, followed by the Women for the 5k at 9:15am.
