Swimming Unveils 2021-22 Schedule

THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University swimming program released its 2021-22 meet schedule Tuesday.  The schedule consists of eight regular season meets, including two that will be hosted by TU.

The Night Hawks will begin its season in the Florida Panhandle September 24th, facing off against the University of West Florida.  Less than a month later, TU will host its first home meet, a tri-meet that hosts South Georgia State College (SGSC) and Salem College.

November will be a busy month for the Green & White.  On the 2nd, TU will make its first trip of the season to SGSC before returning home on the 13th to host its other meet against the newly-formed Ave Maria swimming teams for Senior Day.  A week later, the Night Hawks will head to a neutral site in Columbus, Ga. for a meet hosted by Point.

The 2021 portion will conclude with a two-day meet hosted by SCAD-Savannah December 3-4.

At the turn of the year, Thomas will have two more meets before postseason competition commences.  On January 8th, the Night Hawks will make its second trip to SGSC for either a dual or tri meet.  The regular season will come to a close January 29th, as Thomas travels to Keiser to face the Seahawks and another newly-formed swimming program in the St. Thomas Bobcats for double dual meets.

For this year's postseason meets, the Sun Coast Conference Championships will be hosted in Indian River, Fla. the weekend of February 10-12, while the NAIA's National Championships will once again be hosted in Columbus, Ga. from March 2-5.

Despite graduating impact swimmers like Maggie Davis and Ethan Bainbridge, Head Coach Don Feinberg has doubled down efforts this offseason in building a championship contender.  "With one of the largest recruiting classes in TU history (nine freshmen and two transfers), we are looking to cause some serious damage within the Suncoast Conference this season" said the Frederick, Md. Native.  "After a two-year drought of not even being able to field a men's relay, TU swimming hopes to be more prominent on the national scene this season. With a small but talented group of women, we plan to continue the winning ways of previous seasons."
