Box Score THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University Men's basketball went toe-to-toe against the top-ranked team in The Sun Conference, turning TSC's Game of the Week into an anticipated thriller.  In the end, however, Warner hung on to escape TU Gymnasium Thursday night with a 68-64 win.
 
The Night Hawks (8-13, 8-7 TSC) struggled from long-range, converting 25% of its shots, but the team managed to shoot just over 49% from the field.  The Royals (14-3, 12-3 TSC), on the other hand, had a second-half surge from long-range, which proved to be all the difference in a two-possession contest.
 
For the second, consecutive game, Thomas forced 16 or more turnovers against a Royals team that averages 13.4 on the season.
 
TU became the first team since November to keep Warner's high-scoring offense (81.2 points per game) to under 70 points in a contest, and the third overall team to do so this season.
 
Senior Forward Desean Enzor captured his fourth, career double-double with 22 points and 13 rebounds. 
 
1st Half (TU 30, WU 26)
  • Thomas shot over 59% from the court
  • The Night Hawks limited the second-highest 3-Pt. offense to three Made long range buckets
  • Warner's TSC Player of the Week Rod Boggan was limited to four points
  • Neither team led by more than four points in the half
 
2nd Half (WU 68, TU 64)
  • TU began the first 3:16 outscoring the Royals 6-2 to extend its lead 36-28
  • Warner turned the game momentum in its favor at the 14:27 mark, igniting a 10-0 scoring run to re-take the lead 42-39
  • After a Desean Enzor tied the game at 48 with a good free throw with 8:52 remaining, Warner hit back-to-back 3-Pt. daggers to jumpstart another scoring run (8-0) that would give the Royals the lead for good
  • After a Rod Boggan jumper put Warner's lead into double digits (62-52) at the 3:57 mark, Thomas hit a late surge, outscoring WU 10-2 to cut the deficit 64-62 with 13 seconds left
  • Late free throws by Boggan would clinch the contest 68-64 for Warner
