Angelo Pontello | Sports Information Director | @apontello44

THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University baseball team will look for its first The Sun Conference win in the team's upcoming three-game series against RV Webber International in The Sun Conference's Series of the Week.

The Night Hawks (3-8, 0-3 TSC) have now won three of its last five games, as the Hunter Green & White continue to reach its peak form in the 2021 season.  In its last time out, Thomas scored two unanswered runs, including a walk-off RBI from Freshman Colby Tabb to defeat #7 Faulkner 4-3.

TU boasts five batters with .300 batting averages or better, including Redshirt Junior Rodwell Munoz, who also holds two stolen bases this season.  Redshirt Junior Victor Terrero continues to have a productive season with eight RBIs and three home runs.

Thomas has seen 15 different pitchers make an appearance on the mound in 2021.  Redshirt Senior Patrick Haley (0-2) leads the team in strikeouts (13), while allowing 23 hits and 14 earned runs in 15 innings pitched.  Redshirt Senior Holden Alexander (0-2) has allowed a total of 14 hits and 11 runs in 12 innings pitched.

Webber International (9-7, 4-2 TSC) had a four-game win streak snapped by #15 Keiser.  The Warriors head into this weekend with a chip on its shoulders, as the Night Hawks have won the previous two series, along with the 2019 TSC tournament championship.

The Webber batting lineup is led by Rougie Odor and Dominique Collie Jr.  Odor is hitting .349 on the season, while Collie Jr. is the RBI leader (15) for the Warriors.  Collie Jr. also has three stolen bases, while Norberto Navarro's four stolen bases leads WIU.

The Webber pitching unit is led by Austin Dreher (3-1), allowing 14 runs off 24 hits with 22 strikeouts.  Bryce McDonald (1-0) boasts a 2.59 ERA while allowing eight runs off 24 hits while throwing 25 strikeouts in just over 24 innings pitched.

The Night Hawks-Warriors series has always been a tight one, but TU holds a slim 18-16 overall series lead.
