THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University Men's basketball will begin another challenging The Sun Conference slate this week, beginning with a Tuesday road game to Babson Park Fla. to face Webber International.
Thomas (7-12, 7-6 TSC) may be coming off a stinger Saturday, falling 67-63 to Ave Maria, but the team has a chance to make history Tuesday: a win over the Warriors (9-15, 5-9 TSC) would mark the first time in program history where the Night Hawks defeat an opponent three times in a season.
It will be no easy feat, however, as WIU nearly pulled off a 16-point comeback win last time out, with the Night Hawks squeaking out a 70-68 win. Webber's Jaylon Myles had a career game at TU Gymnasium, recording 34 points. While the Warriors are 1-11 on the road, the team has found success at Sabbagh, holding an 8-4 record at home.
Junior Guard
Jordan Booker is currently one steal shy (85) from breaking into TSC's Top 10 Total Steals on the season. The Powder Springs, Ga. native's total count currently leads the NAIA.
Junior Guard
Toriano Lewis currently leads the conference in 3-Pt. Shooting Percentage (.494). Lewis had a career against Keiser Thursday, shooting 23 points, and scored 11 against Ave Maria.
The Night Hawks currently lead 10-6 in the overall series against Webber International, including 4-4 in Babson Park.
Tipoff at the Sabbagh Athletic Center is slated for 7:30 p.m. Fans can catch the live action by accessing the links below:
