THOMASVILLE, GA — The Thomas University women's basketball team will look to rebound on Thursday against Keiser after a tough Tuesday night loss against Kennesaw State brings the Night Hawks back home still searching for its first win of the season.
After losing a pair of closely contested contests against Truett McConnell and Life University to start the season, the Night Hawks have experienced an increase in turnovers and a decrease in points its last two outtings against Faulkner and Kennesaw State University. Most recently, the Night Hawks more than doubled their previous season high in turnovers (21), as the Owls from KSU forced 43 turnovers in Tuesday's contest.
Entering the conference opener, Graduate Student Destiny Reed leads the team in scoring with eleven points per game, while Juniors Xenia Cavallé and Amaya Sharif average ten and nine, respectively.
Keiser University (4-0) travels to the Rose City undefeated early on in the 2021-22 season, as the Seahawks most recently defeated NCCAA Johnson University 96-32. Senior Angela Denise and Freshman Elise Ellison-Coons lead the Seahawk attack, as both forwards average over ten points per contest.
Thursday will present the Night Hawks a golden opportunity to pick up its first win of the season, as the visiting Seahawks narrowly bested TU in the Rose City last year 68-62.
