POOLER, Ga. – Thomas University's
Genevieve Courtney is in the top 15 after round two at the Sun Conference Championship held at the Savannah Quarters Country Club April 29-May 1.
Courtney, who was third after a first-round 75, fell to tied for 14th following a 15-over 87 in the second round on Monday.
Paulina Camacho from SCAD-Savannah is atop the leaderboard with a 5-over 73-76 – 149.
Thomas held onto fifth place in the seven-team event, carding a 359-373 – 732 over the first two rounds. SCAD-Savannah leads the event with a 611, followed by USC Beaufort (624), Keiser (627) and Southeastern (646). TU is ahead of Ave Maria (737) and Johnson and Wales (766).
Laura Alexander improved by six strokes on her second round, carding a 90, to move into 27th place with a 186.
Laura Mican fell four ranks to 29th following her 101 on day two.
Angela Rivera also improved from her first day, posting a 98-95 – 193 to sit 30th in the event.
The Night Hawks wrap up the tournament on Tuesday morning.
