GULF SHORES, Ala. – The Thomas University women's golf team is tied for third after the first round of the Georgetown College Invitational held on the Lakes and Cypress courses of the Peninsula Golf Club.

 Lindsey Wilson College leads the team event at 313, followed by second place Cumberland University (317). Thomas is tied with William Carey University at 320. 

Individually, three Night Hawk golfers are in the top 12, and four are in the top 25. 

Anna Asphamn is in a three-way tie for eighth at 6-over 78, just four strokes off the pace. Laura Mican and Dorminy Johnson each shot a 7-over 79 to be in a six-way tie for 11th.

Zara Alexander's 12-over 84 places her tied for 24th and Angela Rivera is tied for 39th at 91. 

The Night Hawks return to the course Tuesday to complete the tournament.
