ST. SIMONS, Ga. – Thomas University's
Anna Asphamn and
Angela Rivera finished in the top 15 of the Coastal Georgia Winter Invitational held at the King and Prince Golf Course Monday and Tuesday.
Asphamn, a rookie, posted a 75-80 – 155 to finish 14th, while Rivera, a junior, shot an 80-76 – 156 to place 15th.
Junior
Laura Mican tied for 34th after carding an 85-80 – 165 and junior
Dorminy Johnson was tied for 41st with her 85-83 – 168. Sophomore
Zara Alexander finished tied for 53rd with an 89-88 – 177.
As a team, TU placed sixth of 14 teams, tallying a 325-319 – 644. Eastern Florida State carded a 301-311 – 612 to win the event.
The Night Hawks are back in action Feb. 24-25 at the Ram Spring Invite, held at RTJ Magnolia Grove Crossing Course in Mobile, Ala.
