ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The Thomas University women's golf team took eighth place in the Georgetown College Women's Invitational held at the Slammer & Squire Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday.
As a team, Thomas shot a 351-356 – 707. Dalton State won the event with a 314-307 – 621.
Genevieve Courtney led the Night Hawks with her 24th-place 83-81 – 164, improving from 26th place after round one. Reigning The Sun Conference Player of the Week
Angela Rivera was close behind, shooting 87-84 – 171, which tied her for 33rd.
Laura Alexander tied for 41st, carding an 88-89 – 177 and
Laura Mican was 50th, with her 93-102 – 195.
After shooting an 80 and leading the team on the first day,
Dylaney Day did not compete in the second round.
TU next travels to Johns Creek, Ga., to play in the University of Northwestern Ohio Invitational, held at Bear's Best Golf Club March 19-20.
