ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – Thomas University's freshman
Angela Rivera finished fourth and the Night Hawks took fifth place at the seventh annual Coastal Georgia Winter Invitational held on the King and Prince Golf Course.
Rivera was in second after her first round 73, then shot an 83 on day two to place fourth with a 12-over 156.
As a team Thomas shot a 336-356-692 to tie for fifth. Savannah College of Art and Design-Atlanta won the event with a 298-334-632.
Junior
Genevieve Courtney shot an 86-89-175 to tie for 24th, ascending one spot from the first to second round. Redshirt-junior
Laura Alexander jumped 13 spots after day one, and was Thomas' only player to improve on her first-round score, tying for 27th with a 91-86-177. Freshman
Laura Mican placed 38th with her 86-98- 184 and sophomore
Dylaney Day tied for 41st with a 91-99-190.
The Night Hawks are back on the course Feb. 19-20 at the Georgetown Invitational held at the Slammer and Squire Golf Course in St. Augustine, Fla.
