BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Thomas University women's soccer team scored a pair of goals in the second half to defeat Webber International, 2-0, Wednesday afternoon at Warrior Field.
"Once again our seniors carried us to victory," said Head Coach
Julie Orlowski. "We still control our own destiny in terms of making the Sun Conference Tournament, as well as our seed, so our next step is playing well against Florida Memorial for senior day."
The Night Hawks are 4-3-1 in league action, currently ranked fifth in the overall standings. The top six teams in the Sun Conference will play in the postseason tournament, with first round matches held Nov. 3 at campus sites.
Thomas outshot the Warriors 17-6 and 9-3 on goal, and led in corner kicks, 7-0. In a physical match, WIU committed 18 fouls to Thomas' eight.
Junior
Jen Clyde anchored a back line that worked well together while senior goalkeeper

The Night Hawks took 11 shots in the first half, with three on goal, one hitting the crossbar and one being blocked, to go into the break scoreless.
