Middle Georgia State Tops TU

Box Score COCHRAN, Ga. – The Thomas University baseball team fell to 18th-ranked Middle Georgia State University, 13-1, on Tuesday at Stuckey Field.

The Night Hawks fell to 12-21 on the season, while the Knights improved to 24-8 on the year. TU returns to conference play and hosts Webber International University (Fla.) at 6 p.m. on Friday at Varnedoe Stadium.

Tanner Elsbernd went 1-for-2 with an RBI, while Yovanny Pegeuro hit 1-for-2 and Tanner Long went 1-for-3.

The Night Hawks threw six pitchers in the game, while Jamie Rivera suffered the loss on two innings pitched with five runs on six hits and struck out one.
