The Night Hawks are coming off a 70-57 loss to Florida Memorial on Thursday inside TU Gymnasium in league play. The Green and White suffered their first defeat in 14 days.
Florida Memorial scored the first seven points and jumped out to a 10-2 edge less than three minutes into the game after a Shawnice King trey. Down by 10, Thomas scored the final six points of the first quarter, with the last basket coming fromÂ
Daycia Bandy with six seconds left, to trail by only four, 14-10.
The Night Hawks again trailed by four, 16-12, at the 7:42 mark of the second quarter following aÂ
Kriza Allen fastbreak layup, but King would later hit another 3-pointer to give her team a 28-18 edge at intermission.
A 9-0 Lion run to open the third quarter as part of a 17-1 spurt that encompassed the second and third periods opened up the affair. Thomas cut the deficit to single digits, 66-57, with 41 seconds left in the game after aÂ

De'Audra Copeland tied a season-high with 17 points on 8-of-14 shooting for the Green and White. D. Brown had 15 points on 5-of-9 shooting, including 3-of-6 from behind the arc, to go along with five assists. Allen added 12 points.Â
Jewel Montisano dished out four assists, as the team totaled 15 on 19 made baskets.
The Night Hawks were 37.3 percent from the floor overall but caught fire in the second half, going 57.7 percent (15-of-26) after halftime. Thomas was 16-of-21 from the line in the contest, including 10-of-12 in the first 20 minutes. The Night Hawks turned 28 Florida Memorial turnovers into 26 points.

The Bobcats are coming off a 90-73 win at Coastal Georgia on Thursday in conference action.
Saint Thomas, which controlled the game from start to finish, registered a season-high 90 points and shot a season-best 55 percent from the field.Â
Four Bobcats scored in double figures.Â
Samara Auguste led all scorers with 22 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field, including a perfect 3-for-3 from beyond the arc. She also converted 7-of-10 free throw attempts and registered a game-high five steals.Â
Katie Rienas scored 20 points, hitting two 3-pointers on three attempts while going 4-of-6 from the charity stripe.Â
Keiana Brooks was an efficient 7-of-11 from the field for 16 points, while Chakari Merritt was one rebound shy of a double-double with 10 points and nine boards.
The Bobcats opened the game on fire, shooting a blazing 69% (9-of-13) from the field to take a 28-10 lead at the end of the first quarter. The hot shooting continued in the second period, as the Bobcats hit on three of their four attempts from beyond the arc and led 47-32 at intermission.
Coastal Georgia cut the lead to four points at the end of three quarters but would not get any closer.
Saint Thomas ranks 14th in NAIA Division II in steals per game (12.6), 28th in free throw percentage (0.734), 32nd in turnover margin (2.9) and 35th in 3-point field goal percentage (0.343.
Auguste is fourth nationally in steals per game (3.9) and 44th in points per game (17.0). Brooks ranks 34th in steals per game (2.7). Ebony Griffin is 36th in offensive rebounds per game (3.3).
LASTÂ TIME OUT AGAINST THE BOBCATS
Thomas lost at home to Saint Thomas, 67-55, on Feb. 11, 2017.
Allen led the Night Hawks with 21 points and seven rebounds. Arianna Anderson added 10 points and six rebounds. J'Nyiah Daniels tied the team-high with seven rebounds and added nine points.
Daniels tied the game at six before Saint Thomas went on a 13-0 run and took a 19-6 lead. Thomas ended the first quarter on a 7-0 run but trailed 21-15.
The Bobcats opened the second quarter on a 12-2 run and held a 33-17 lead, their largest of the game. The Night Hawks ended the half on a 6-2 run but trailed 39-27 at the break.
Allen converted two free throws and brought the game within single digits at 48-40 in the third quarter, but Saint Thomas led 50-40 heading into the fourth.
Allen knocked down a jumper in the paint that cut the Saint Thomas lead to 57-52 with three minutes to play, but the Bobcats ended the game on an 8-2 run.

Brown, in his first season with Thomas, was the interim head coach for Saint Thomas for the final nine games of last season, going 5-4 while helping lead the Bobcats to the league's tournament title game.
