ABOUT THOMAS
The Night Hawks are coming off a 68-55 loss at Keiser (Fla.), which is receiving votes in the latest top 25 poll, on Thursday in the league opener.for both teams.Â
Kriza Allen scored a game-high 17 points for Thomas, but Keiser outscored the Night Hawks a combined 41-25 in the second and third quarters.
Allen scored her team's first four points, and an 8-0 run by Thomas in just under four minutes gave Brown's squad a 14-9 edge with 56 seconds left in the first quarter. The Night Hawks led 15-13 at the end of the period.

De'Audra Copeland layup 35 seconds into the second quarter pushed Thomas' upper hand to four, but Keiser answered with an 11-0 spurt, as a Nikki Saunders jumper in the paint gave the Seahawks a 24-17 edge at the 6:59 mark.Â
Jewel Montisano canned a trey at the 4:20 mark to trim the Night Hawks' deficit to 29-26, but Keiser scored the final five points of the quarter to lead 36-28 at the break.
The Green and White limited the Seahawks to just 1-of-11 from 3-point range in the first half.
An Allen five-foot jumper in the paint brought Brown's team within four with 6:59 to play in the third quarter, but another 11-0 spurt by the home team stretched the margin to 49-34 at the 3:19 mark. Caity Riley made two free throws in the final second of the frame to give Keiser a 54-40 advantage at the end of the third.
The Seahawks scored the first six points of the fourth quarter to stretch its lead to 20 at the 7:26 mark. Thomas countered with a 9-0 run to climb within 11 points at 60-49 after an Allen jumper with 5:17 to play, but the Night Hawks would get no closer.
Allen finished 7-of-12 shooting to go along with seven rebounds and four steals. She has scored in double figures in four of the last five games. Copeland contributed 12 points on a 6-of-12 effort from the floor.Â

Alexis Moody each recorded three steals, as the visitors generated 18, leading to 25 points.
Both teams made four treys apiece but struggled from beyond the arc, going a combined 8-of-34.
Thomas won the battle of the boards 37-35, including 17-9 on the offensive glass.

The Wildcats are coming off an 87-86 loss at home to Coastal Georgia on Thursday in the conference opener for both squads.
The game featured 13 times and eight lead changes.
Four players reached double-figures in scoring for Johnson & Wales, including 21 points for Diamond Williams and 20 from Bevin Mays. Both Williams and Mays were each 11-of-12 from the free throw line. Mays also tied a season-high with eight rebounds. Tiana Ayulo recorded her sixth-straight game with at least 19 points, shooting 5-of-15 from the floor and 8-of-10 from the charity stripe. Ayulo also tallied a team-high 13 rebounds for her third double-double of the season. Rounding out the double-digit scorers was JoNae Gonzales, who had 11 points on 3-of-8 shooting and a game-high six assists.
The Wildcats shot 32.8 percent (21-of-64) from the floor and were just 6-of-23 (26.1 percent) from beyond the arc.Â
Both teams combined for 78 trips to the free throw line, as Johnson & Wales went 38-of-44, while Coastal Georgia was 23-of-34. The Mariners had a 44-26 advantage in points in the paint.
Johnson & Wales ranks 20th in NAIA Division II in turnover margin (4.7) and 22nd in free throw percentage (0.748), 3-pointers made per game (8.5) and scoring offense per game (82.0).
Gonzales is ninth in NAIA Division II in assists (33). Williams and Ayulo are tied for 10th in points per game (20.8).
LAST TIME OUT AGAINST THE WILDCATS
Thomas won at Johnson & Wales, 71-56, on Feb. 18, 2017, in the season finale.
J'Nyiah Daniels led the Night Hawks with 17 points and three assists and added eight rebounds. Daycia Bandy produced a double-double with 10 points and as many rebounds. Anderson produced 16 points and nine rebounds, while Allen added 16 points and five rebounds.
The Night Hawks closed the first quarter on a 21-3 run and held a 23-8 lead at its end.
Joelle Patterson converted a jumper for the Wildcats and cut the Thomas lead to 33-24 in the second quarter, but Allen ended the half with a made layup and gave the Night Hawks a 35-24 lead at halftime.
The Wildcats went on a 5-0 run in the third quarter and slimmed the Thomas lead to 37-31. The Night Hawks closed the period on a 6-0 run and took a 48-37 lead into the final quarter.
Daniels knocked down a 3-pointer with less than five minutes to play that put Thomas ahead 65-46. Copeland converted a layup with a minute and a half remaining and gave Thomas a 71-50 lead.Â
