Night Hawks Cruise Past Florida Memorial in Series Finale

Box Score MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Thomas University baseball team took care of Florida Memorial, 16-5 in eight innings, on Saturday at Harry T. Moore Field.

The Night Hawks went to 18-28, 5-15 in The Sun Conference, while the Lions fell to 7-38, 4-19 on the season.

TU produced 21 hits, while Jalbert Melo went 5-for-6 with five runs scored and four RBI's.

The Night Hawks produced five runs in the first inning on two outs. Jeremy Crosby started the scoring with a single to right center that drove in Melo. Timmy Roszell completed the scoring in the first with a single through the left side of the infield that scored Tanner Elsbernd.

Crosby produced the game-winning run on a sacrifice fly that plated Melo in the second inning.

The Night Hawks scored in six of the eight innings played.

Tate Lambert collected the win on three innings pitched with two runs on five hits and struck out two.
