THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University baseball team travel to Miami Gardens, Fla., this weekend for a Sun Conference, three-game series against Florida Memorial University.
Although the Night Hawks (17-27, 4-14 TSC) are still in the hunt for a spot in Sun Conference tournament, they must all of their final games to keep the season alive. Sophomore
Jalbert Melo leads TU in batting average (.346), runs batted in (41) and stolen bases (7). Junior pitcher
Jordan Martin (3-6) leads the team with a 4.94 earned run average and 63 strikeouts.
Florida Memorial (6-36
, 3-17 TSC) is looking to snap a 15-game skid. Senior Daniel Morales leads the Lions with a .314 batting average. Junior Brian Gonzalez's 20 runs batted in leads the team in that respective category.
First pitch in Friday's doubleheader at Harry T Moore Baseball Field is set for noon while Saturday's is set for 11 a.m.
