Keiser Tops Night Hawks on Sunday

Box Score WAST PALM BEACH, Fla – The Thomas University baseball team fell to Keiser, 9-3, Sunday at Silvester Field.

The Night Hawks fell to 17-26, 4-13 in The Sun Conference, while the Seahawks improved to 29-16, 12-6 in the conference.

Jalbert Melo went 3-for-5 with two RBI's and two doubles, while JR Cruess hit 2-for-5 on the day for the Night Hawks.

Keivan Berges powered the Keiser offense hitting 3-for-4 with five RBI's, three runs scored and two homeruns.

Berges homered to right field and put Keiser up 2-0 early in the first inning.

Melo put the Night Hawks on the scoreboard with a double to left center that scored Tanner Long and cut the Seahawks lead to 2-1 in the fifth.

Keiser scored four runs in the bottom in the fifth, in part to Berges' three-run homerun to left, his second game.

Melo cracked his second double of the day and drove in Blake Summers that cut the Seahawks lead to 6-2 in the seventh. Matthew Brady grounded out but scored Austin Simmons in the process later in the inning.

Tate Lambert pitched 4.1 innings, allowed five runs on five hits and struck out one, while David Wood threw 2 innings with four runs on six hits. Jacob Moye delivered 1.2 innings with no runs on two hits.
