Box Score 2 Thomas University overcame an anemic offensive effort to sweep Brewton Parker on Tuesday afternoon at Varnedoe Stadium. The Night Hawks (6-9) scored 2 in the bottom of the 7th inning to walk off in the first game 3-2, and used stellar pitching in game two to win 3-0.

Nick Riley. The Night Hawks would answer in the bottom of the 2nd, as
Yovanny Peguero walked with one out, and advanced to second as
Colin Kirkland was hit by a pitch.
Blake Summers was hit by a pitch to load the bases, and
Dillon True attempted a squeeze on the next pitch. Peguero was thrown out at the plate, but the catcher overthrew the first baseman attempting the double play, Â and Kirkland scored from second to tie the game at 1 apiece.
BPC would add another run in the 5th inning on a single, a passed ball, and another single off of reliever
Kris Lee to take the 2-1 lead to the 7th inning.
JR Cruess would lead off the bottom of the seventh with a single to left that bounced off the diving left fielders glove.
Jalbert Melo would sacrifice bunt to move Cruess to second with the tying run, and
Tanner Long would double to right, but confusion on the basepaths only moved Cruess to third. Following an intentional walk to
Gant Highsmith,
Gavin Murphy would hit a sinking liner to center that would fall in front of the diving centerfielder to score Cruess with the tying run. Peguero would follow with a grounder to the shortstop in a drawn-in infield to drive home
