THOMASVILLE, Ga. ?  The Thomas University women's basketball team will be back in action Saturday when they face the Webber International University on the road.
Â
The Lady Night Hawks (7-7, 2-2 TSC) are looking to rebound from a tough 67-49 loss to Southeastern. Senior Bra'Shey Ali only played in the first half, seeing 3:24 of playing time. Junior
Taron Bright was the shining point for Thomas as she narrowly missed a double-double scoring 10 points and nine rebounds coming off the bench.Â
Rayven Thomas will be looking to notch her third consecutive double-double against the Warriors who sit atop of the Sun Conference. Â
Â
The Lady Warriors (10
-7, 4-1 TSC) are coming off a 81-71 victory over Johnson & Wales Wednesday night, winning three of their last four contests.  Deslyn Applewhaite leads WIU in points per game (12.56) while Quanthavia Stalworth is the team leader in both rebounds (6.82) and steals (1.65) per game. Mar'Lisa Braxton serves as the floor general dishing out a squad high 62 assists.  Notably, Braxton leads the Sun Conference in steals (40). Webber is sixth in NAIA Division II in steals per game (12.71).
Â
WIU has been experiencing severe foul trouble all season long. With 357 team fouls thus far, the Lady Warriors have racked up the most in the Sun Conference. The Lady Night Hawks could use this to their advantage as they have some good free-throw shooters in
Bria Joyner-Williams (77%) and
Dymon Brown (77.8%).
Â
Tipoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
