The #4 seeded St. Thomas University Bobcats (31-19) dropped the #3 Thomas University Night Hawks (28-18), 12-0, in game three of the 2014 TSC Baseball Tournament on Friday night in Ft. Myers, Fla.
STU limited TU to only one hit thru 6 ½ innings of the Run-Rule Victory. Thomas was held hitless till one out in the seventh inning. The Bobcats used scored a single run in the first and added two in the second followed by seven in the third inning to go up 10-0. Ben Overman (6-5) failed to make it out of the third inning, allowing six runs on four hits, in the losing effort.
TU will look to avoid elimination tomorrow afternoon at 3 p.m., when they face #1 Embry Riddle University in game five of the tourney. Thomas needs a win to stay alive in the double elimination tournament.
