Thomas (23-16) topped Edward Waters College (17-20), 9-3, this afternoon at Varnedoe Stadium, sweeping the three game weekend series.

Junior starting pitcher Justin Hicks (5-2) tossed 5 2/3 innings to pick up his fifth win of the year. The native of McAlpin, Fla. has collected five straight wins for the Night Hawks. Junior center fielder Brandon Singer (1-2, 2 R, 3 RBI, HR), junior first baseman Josh Bruijn (2-3, 2 R, RBI, HR) and freshman left fielder Chris Simms (1-4, R, 3 RBI, HR) each hit a home run. The three home runs in the game, is a first for the Night Hawks this season. Singer and Simms each drove in three runs.

TU will continue with non-conference play this Tuesday when they travel to Ozark, Ala. to face Auburn University – Montgomery at 4p.m.
