The NAIA #3 Embry Riddle University Eagles (12-9, 9-1) flew past the visiting Night Hawks (13-10, 8-2), on Friday evening, in an 11-1 eight inning Sun Conference run rule victory in Daytona Beach, Fla.

ERU took advantage of six defensive miscues by Thomas, scoring runs in 6 of the 8 innings played while collecting 15 hits. Senior pitcher Kurtis Gens (2-2) lasted five innings in the loss, surrendering eight runs (three earned) on seven hits.

Thomas and Riddle will conclude the three game set tomorrow afternoon with a double header beginning at 1PM.
