TU Baseball (14-12, 9-4) outlasted the University of South Carolina – Beaufort (12-11, 5-5) in a Friday afternoon Sun Conference, 14-11, slug fest in Bluffton, SC.

Thomas scored four tenth inning runs to secure the extra innings affair after USCB scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth to tie the game at 10. TU led 10-7 after 7 ½ before Beaufort scored one in the bottom half of the inning to make it a two run game. Junior third baseman Damon Jackson (4-6, R, 4 RBI, 2B) drove in four runs and senior catcher Andrew Crane (2-5, 3 RBI) drove in three. Senior relief pitcher John Gainey (3-2) picked up the win out of the pen.

The series continues tomorrow with a double header beginning at 12p.m.
