Junior Tanner Long has been named the Student-Athlete of the week for January 18-24, 2016.

Long, who starts his first season as a Night Hawk after transferring from Lake-Sumter State in the summer of 2015, was a key contributor to the North squad’s 20-16 victory this past weekend at the Sun Conference All-Star Game in Lake Wales, Fla.  The outfielder went 2-for-2 at the plate driving in two runs while scoring a run.  The North’s victory snapped a three-game winning streak by the South dating back to the 2013 All-Star Game.  Long looks to be an integral part of the Night Hawks’ 2016 season as they open up on the road against Middle Georgia State on Saturday, January 30.
