Sophomore Javoris Cooks has been named the Student-Athlete of the week for December 28-January 3, 2016.
Behind the single-game career high 26 points and eight three-pointers by sophomore guard Javoris Cooks, the Thomas University men's basketball team snapped a six-game losing skid this afternoon defeating Allen University 86-75 to start their 2016 portion of the season. Cooks single-handedly dominated the second half of play, turning the tide for Thomas in their victory. The Cordele, Ga., native went 5-for-5 from behind the arch to open the half, adding on to his two previous makes to end the first half. Cooks’ effort improved the Night Hawks’ record to 6-8 on the year.
