Aileen Fiallo has been named the Student-Athlete of the week for March 30-April 5, 2015.
Fiallo has overcome many battles this season. After missing several weeks of play after suffering an injury at the NFCA NAIA Leadoff Classic making a diving play over the outfield fence, the center fielder has charged back into action to lead No. 10 Thomas on a 10 game winning streak and 28-7 record. The Hialeah, Fla., native drove in four runs against Embry-Riddle this past weekend. Fiallo hit her fourth home run of the season, crushing a grand slam over the left field wall. Fiallo has a .229 batting average with four stolen bases. Currently, the Lady Night Hawks are first in the Sun Conference with a 6-0 record.
