LAKE WALES, Fla. - The Thomas University Night Hawks found themselves down by a pair of goals on the road on Thursday night, before rattling off three scores in five minutes to down the Warner Royals, 3-2, at the Royals Soccer Field.

The first forty-five minutes saw an aggressive approach from Billy Jeffery's program, but each of the five shots and corner kicks were turned away from the net. The Royals landed one goal after the 30th tick before doubling their lead ten minutes later, keeping the 2-0 lead deep into the second half. 

Thomas kept up pressure with shots but couldn't break through until the final fifteen minutes. A foul on Warner gave Thomas possession. Ethan Moore high pressed a defender and played it towards the middle of the field, where the freshman Charlie Foss beat his defender before chipping over two more and into the back of the net for his first career score. 

Just four minutes later, in the 81st minute, Elia Casali was fouled at the top of the box and stepped up for the ensuing free kick. Casali curled his efforts around the right side of the defensive wall for his second career goal, leveling the match at 2-2. 

Just 63 seconds later, Casali found himself under pressure near the corner flag before sending the ball towards Moore. Moore rose to meet it with a header and directed it into the back of the net to put Thomas in front, 3-2; his eighth goal as a Night Hawk.

The Night Hawks' defense held strong the rest of the way as the program rallied for its first win of the season. Thomas (1-1, 0-0 SSAC) continues its Florida road trip against Florida College in Temple Terrace on Saturday at 2 p.m. The Night Hawks are 4-0-2 against the Falcons since 2011.
