THOMASVILLE, Ga. — Thomas University was swept in Saturday's home doubleheader against undefeated Coastal Georgia, falling 2–1 in Game 1 and 3–0 in Game 2 at Armory Field.

Coastal Georgia jumped ahead early when Kaitlyn Carolino walked, stole second and later scored on Rily Andrews' RBI fielder's choice, giving the Mariners a 1–0 lead in the first. Thomas answered in the third, sparked by Paisley Wallace, who singled, stole second and scored on Grace Hodges' RBI single to center, tying the game at 1–1.
Carolino proved troublesome all afternoon, finishing 3-for-4 with two runs, a double, a stolen base and reaching four times. Her seventh‑inning double set up Mackenzie Southerland's sacrifice fly, pushing Coastal Georgia ahead 2–1.
Thomas' offense totaled six hits, led by Wallace's two-hit, two stolen base performance and singles from Hodges, Ashlyn Powell, Cloey O'Doniel, and Alexis Adams.
In the circle, Maggie Stubbs provided strong relief with 5.2 innings of one‑run ball, scattering four hits and striking out four. Despite her effort, Coastal Georgia starter Rylee Mills went the distance, allowing one run on six hits with five strikeouts.

Game 2 was defined by missed scoring chances for Thomas and two early Coastal Georgia runs that set the tone. The Mariners scored in the second on Ashley Stanley's sac fly and again in the fourth when Stanley delivered an RBI single. A wild pitch in the fifth brought home Emma Jones for a 3–0 Coastal lead.
Thomas was held to three hits — two from Grace Hodges (including a double) and one from Ava Nunez. The Night Hawks put runners in scoring position in the third, fifth, sixth and seventh innings but could not bring anyone home. They stranded nine runners overall.
For Thomas, Taylor Young was sharp in relief — throwing 3.2 innings and allowing just one run.
