DALTON, Ga. — Thomas University men's basketball wrapped up its 2025–26 regular season on Saturday afternoon, falling 85–65 to Dalton State inside Bandy Gym.

Playing in their final regular‑season contest, the Night Hawks opened with energy and defensive intensity. Armani Thomas delivered a strong first half, scoring 13 of his team‑high 15 points before the break to keep TU within reach. Thomas' early shooting helped the Night Hawks pull even twice and briefly claim a lead at the 14:17 mark.

Despite the competitive start, Dalton State used interior scoring and transition baskets to establish a 34–24 advantage at halftime, fueled by 20 paint points and 12 points off turnovers in the opening period.

The Roadrunners pulled away after the break, shooting 61.8% in the second half and finishing the night at 55.9% overall. Their depth also proved decisive, generating 35 bench points and extending the lead to as many as 26 late in the period — the largest margin of the contest.

Dalton State dominated the interior with 46 points in the paint, moved the ball efficiently with 25 assists, and collected 16 steals while forcing 17 Night Hawk turnovers.

Despite the loss, several Night Hawks performed well in the final regular‑season outing. Thomas scored 15 points  and went 6‑11 from the field and 3‑5 from beyond the arc. Eli Curry added in nine points, four rebounds and four assists. Jonathan Goldson had nine points, four rebounds, four steals and three assists

The Night Hawks shot 36.1% from the field and 25% from beyond the arc, collecting 10 steals and receiving scoring contributions from nine different players.

With the regular season now complete, Thomas shifts its attention to postseason play in the SSAC Conference Tournament. The Night Hawks open tournament action on Wednesday, February 25 at 10:45 AM CST, where they will face the University of Mobile in the first round.
