THOMASVILLE, Ga. - The Thomas University Athletic Department announced the promotion of Tom Fleenor as the Night Hawks' new Associate Athletic Director for Facilities and Community Relations on Wednesday morning.

"I'm honored and grateful to be offered this opportunity," said Fleenor. "Our athletic department has made huge strides under the direction of [Vice President of Athletics] Jessica Sanders, and my goal is to help her continue and enhance that trend."

The head baseball coach for Thomas since the fall of 2019, Fleenor has won 147 games with the Night Hawks, while serving as the school's Champions of Character Liaison with the Southern States Athletic Conference.

In his new role, he is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, operations, scheduling, safety, and improvement of athletic facilities while developing and strengthening relationships between Thomas University Athletics and the surrounding community.

"Tom has been taking on responsibilities related to both facilities and community relations for several years, so promoting him to Associate Athletic Director in these areas was a natural decision," said Sanders. "He has already demonstrated his commitment to Thomas University and our athletic department, and I'm excited to see him continue to grow in this role. I look forward to the impact he will make as we continue to strengthen our facilities, build community relationships, and move TU Athletics forward."
