MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference announced the SSAC Baseball Players of the Week, presented by WinWon. Rigoberto Hernandez of William Carey was named SSAC Baseball Player of the Week and Dustin Letchworth of Thomas was named SSAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
 
The awards are based on performance for the week of March 17-23.
 
Rigoberto Hernandez (William Carey – SR – INF – Panama City, Panama)

• This is his second-straight award
• In a 4-0 week, Hernandez hit .563, posted a .632 OBP and slugged 1.438, while totaling nine hits, 11 runs, 14 RBIs and six XBH, including three homers
• He had multiple hits and at least one RBI and run scored in every game. He went 3-for-5 with a triple and two homers v. LSU Alexandria and 2-for-4 with six RBIs and three runs scored in game two v. Mobile

 
Dustin Letchworth (Thomas – SR – RHP)

• This is his first-career weekly honor
• Letchworth helped Thomas to a 5-4 win over Middle Georgia by tossing five no-hit innings
• He fanned seven and walked three in the shutout effort
