Thomas falls to Middle Georgia State in Conference matchup

COCHRAN, Ga.  – Thomas University struggled offensively in a 74-42 loss to Middle Georgia State on Wednesday night in conference play.

The Night Hawks (8-17, 3-12 SSAC) were held to just 22.1% shooting from the field and 10.5% from beyond the arc, committing 32 turnovers in the contest. Despite a strong third quarter in which they scored 18 points, Thomas was unable to keep pace with the Knights (3-18, 3-12 SSAC), who led by as many as 32 points in the final minutes.

Destiny Hill led Thomas with 10 points and seven rebounds, while LaTarius Montgomery recorded a double-double with 10 points and 19 boards. Aaliyah Ringold contributed nine points, eight rebounds, and three assists.

Middle Georgia State capitalized on Thomas' turnovers, scoring 28 points off giveaways. The Knights were paced by Brianna McRae, who finished with 19 points, seven steals, and three assists. Keiane' Rollins added 17 points and six steals, while India Johnson tallied 13 points.

The Night Hawks will look to bounce back in their next matchup as they return home to face ABAC on Saturday for Senior to close out the regular season.
