THOMASVILLE, Ga. – Thomas (6-6, 2-1 SSAC) faced Life (7-3, 2-1 SSAC) in the SSAC Game of the Week on Thursday evening and won 72-60.

Kennedy Collins for a made jumper to put the Night Hawks up 4-0. Life responded right back with a pair of layups to tie the game up at 4-4. After another tie at nine a piece Collins sparked a 5-0 run with a made three to make the game 14-9. With 1:41 to go in the first Life found their way back equal to 14 all. The Night Hawks pulled away at the conclusion of the first up by five with a score of 21-16.
Thomas held strong in the second quarter with a 13-5 run to go up by 11 with 2:36 remaining in the half. Life answered back with a 7-0 run to pull the game within four points at the break.
In the third the Running Eagles opened the half with a made layup to make It a one possession game. Thomas responded back with two points of their own before Life made their first three of the game followed by a fast break layup to take the lead with 7:34 left in the third quarter.
Nandi Ramessar converted a jumper to regain the lead before Life spoiled the effort after two made free throws to gain the advantage. At 6:49 in the third quarter Hill had the answer for the Night Hawks, the graduate student got an offensive board on a three point attempt from
Zyi'Kiera King and drove in the paint for a layup to give the Night Hawks the lead for good.
With 49 seconds remaining in the 3rd quarter the Night Hawks sparked a 15-4 run going into the 4
th quarter with 5:39 remaining in the game. Life attempted to make a comeback with a 8-1 run of their own but could not get any closer than an eight point margin.
The Night Hawk offense shot 46.8% as a team from the floor while scoring 34 points in the paint. The Thomas bench accounted for 30 points.
Montgomery led all scorers with 20 points, eight rebounds, seven blocks, two assists and a pair of steals. The senior managed 75% shooting in the offensive effort. Logan followed behind with 13 points, three steals and two assists. Ramessar hit double-digit scoring with ten points to round out the offensive effort.
Hill led the team in rebounds with 14 and added in five steals to pass the program record for career steals. The Clarksville native achieved the mark just a minute into the game after a dish to Montgomery at the 9:10 minute mark. Hill currently has 151 career steals
With this win Thomas has won their first ever conference matchup against the Running Eagles while also winning their second ever game against Life since their first meeting as non-conference opponents in 2017.
Currently sitting at 6-6 the Night Hawks have gotten off to their best start in program history already securing more wins in a season in five of their previous six seasons.
Thomas heads to Division I opponent Kennesaw State University for an exhibition on Saturday at 12:00 pm before finishing out their 2025 home slate with a rematch against Georgia Gwinett College on December 13
th at 2:00 pm.
