KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Michael Eady and Tyrese Henderson of Thomas University were officially announced Friday as qualifiers for the 72nd NAIA Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championships, on May 22-24 at the Indiana Wesleyan University Track & Field Complex in Marion, Ind.
Eady, the current program record holder for the 100-meter and 200-meter dash events accomplished impressive an 21.14 200-meter dash and a 10.38 100-meter dash at the SSAC championship. With these marks Eady qualified for both the men's 100- meter dash and the 200-meter dash events. The preliminaries for the 100-meter dash event are scheduled for 3:40 p.m. ET on Thursday while the 200-meter dash preliminaries are set for 5:35 p.m. ET on Wednesday, May 22. If Eady should advance in either event, the 100-meter dash finals are set for 3:00 p.m. CT on Friday, May 24 and the 200-meter dash finals are set for 4:20 p.m. ET on Friday, May 24.
Henderson, who currently holds the outdoor track program record for triple jump with an impressive 14.39-meter, qualified for the finals of the event after posting a 13.72-meter score at the SSAC championship last month. The triple jump events are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. ET on Friday, May 24.
Hudl TV will be the official home of the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championship streaming. It will broadcast as many events as possible. Due to the possibility of schedule overlap, there could be some events that are not fully streamed. The end of the current event will be prioritized over moving to the following event.
