THOMASVILLE, GA Â | Â The Night Hawks (21-15) offense produced twenty-four hits while scoring fourteen runs in games one and two of the series and looked to keep the momentum going into game three on Saturday against Blue Mountain Christian (21-11).

In the bottom of the 1st inning, Thomas University surged ahead.
Turner Maddox opened with a leadoff triple to right field, followed by an infield single from
Kason Buie, bringing Maddox home for a 1-0 lead.
Max Pickert's line drive single to center field advanced Buie to third, and a
Mike Sowers ground ball to the shortstop scored Buie, extending the lead to 2-0 after one inning.

Blue Mountain shifted the momentum in the top of the 2nd inning as the Toppers cut the lead to just one run and proceeded to score runs in the 4th through 7th innings to take an 8 - 2 lead.

In the bottom of the 8th inning, the Night Hawks attempted a comeback, narrowing the lead to three runs by scoring three times.
Bryce Bitting walked on four pitches, and Sowers singled, putting runners on first and second. With one out,
Easton Willis launched a three-run homer over the right field wall, making the score 8-5. However, in the bottom of the 9th, the Night Hawks could not score, resulting in a loss in game three of the series.

Max Pickert went 2-for-4 on the day with two singles and two stolen bases.
Easton Willis went 1-for-5 on the day with a 3-RBI home run to right field.
