The Night Hawks had a five minute break then it was time for them to play Fort Lauderdale University. The offense, now running with who is usually always the starting quarterback, Sophomore,
Alexa Wilson. The defense was carrying the team throughout the game, causing the opposing team to punt almost every drive. The first half ended with 0-0. The offense was moving slow, however, the first play of the 2nd half
Alexa Wilson found Wide Receiver
Gisele Jones on a hitch and go, straight to the endzone. After that play, the Night Hawks were on fire. The final score was 19-0.Â

THOMAS 24, OTTAWA (KS) 12
For the second day, the Night Hawks had a very intense game coming up for them. The only team they were playing for this day was the Ottawa University Braves, the three-time, defending, national champion. This was the team that defeated the Night Hawks in the past two season's national championship game. These ladies put everything on the line for this game. The first drive of the game the Braves drove the field. They were inside the 20 with a fresh set of new downs, however our Night Hawks defense shut them down, causing the Braves to go four-and-out in their own redzone. Sophomore
Alexa Wilson did a phenomenal job carrying the Night Hawks offense. As the first half concluded, the Night Hawks were leading, and they left the defending champions playing catch up. Freshman,
Kaitlyn Herb was giving pressure to the Ottawa offensive back field all game, causing the Braves to throw multiple interceptions. The Night Hawks starting receivers all did an amazing job making big time plays and the same with the defense. This was the best game the team has played all year. As the clock ran down, the final score was Night Hawks 24 Braves 12.
Â
The Night Hawks are currently ranked 4th nationally and are hoping to climb up the ranks every week. The Night Hawks next game is on Saturday, March 23, in West Palm against the Keiser Seahawk, who are ranked 2nd in the nation.
