Thomasville, GA- The Thomas University Women's Basketball Team hosted the Brewton-Parker Barons on Saturday afternoon.
In the first quarter, the Night Hawks would shoot 19% from the field and 33% from the three, totaling just 8 points in the period. On the other end of the court, Thomas' defense would give up 19 first quarter points and allow the Barons to shoot 50% from beyond the arc.
In the second period of play, each team would produce 19 points. Thomas would shoot 47% from the field and 33% from behind the arc, while also grabbing 13 total rebounds. Heading into the break, the Night Hawks would trail 38-27.
After the break, the Night Hawks would get off to a slow start. In the third quarter, the Night Hawks would shoot just 24% from the field. However, the Night Hawk defense would hold the Barons to 36% accuracy from the field, allowing them to produce 15 points.
In the fourth and final quarter of play, both teams would prioritize their effort on defense. Thomas would not allow a field goal for the entirety of the quarter. However, the Barons would outscore the Night Hawks 8-6 in the period, and take the victory, 61-43.
Dejah Wilson would record a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds. Ta'Nija Watson would record 8 points and 2 steals. Ryann Woodley recorded 8 points and 6 rebounds.
